How to convert hourly pay to an annual salary
Annual salary = Hourly rate × Hours per week × Weeks per year. With a standard 40-hour week and 52 weeks, that is Hourly × 2,080. So $25 per hour is $52,000 per year, $20 per hour is $41,600, and $30 per hour is $62,400.
How to convert a salary to an hourly rate
Hourly rate = Annual salary ÷ 2,080. A $60,000 salary is about $28.85 per hour; $75,000 is about $36.06; $100,000 is about $48.08.
Quick reference (40 hrs/week, 52 weeks)
$15/hr = $31,200 · $18/hr = $37,440 · $20/hr = $41,600 · $22/hr = $45,760 · $25/hr = $52,000 · $28/hr = $58,240 · $30/hr = $62,400 · $35/hr = $72,800 · $40/hr = $83,200 · $50/hr = $104,000.
Biweekly vs semi-monthly pay
Biweekly means 26 paychecks a year (every two weeks); semi-monthly means 24 paychecks (twice a month). The yearly total is the same, but the amount per check differs slightly.
